Journal Aims

The International Journal on Media Technology is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes original papers on all branches of the multimedia technology and applications, including, but not limited to circuits, networking, signal processing, systems, software, and systems integration and security.

Thematic areas include, but are not limited to:
multimedia signal processing: audio, speech and language processing, visual communication and image representation, digital media, digital technology, data analysis and patter recognition, hardware and software for media compression, coding & processing, broadcast engineering and systems design, multimedia computing, communication and storage, media fusion for communication and presentation, operating systems suitable for multimedia applications, storage devices and technologies for multimedia information, scalable multimedia big data management, network technologies, protocols, architectures and delivery techniques intended for multimedia, communication network security, programming paradigms and languages for multimedia, multimedia user interfaces, media creation integration editing and management, creation and modification of multimedia applications, mobile multimedia: software architectures and hardware platforms supporting multimedia applications, wireless and mobile network management and service infrastructure, wireless communication technologies, applications and services, integration and interworking of wired and wireless networks, security and privacy of social network services.

The Editorial policy is to maintain a reasonable balance between papers regarding different research areas so that the Journal will be useful to all interested scientific groups.

The International Journal on Media Technology also publishes letters to the Editor and research notes which discuss new research, or research in progress in any of the above thematic areas.

published quarterly, appearing on the last day of January, April, July, October.
