Fuzzy Logic Controller Optimization Based on PSO and BBO for Quadruple Tank System

Abstract


In this paper, an optimal fuzzy logic controller (FLC) for Quadruple Tank System (QTS) is proposed. Two bio-inspired optimization methods: Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Biogeography Based optimization (BBO) are employed to adjust the parameters of the membership functions (MFs) in order to enhance the capability of traditional FLC. Simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed control methods, and show the advantages of the optimized fuzzy logic controller.
