Numerical Modeling of Flexible Pavements

Abstract


The road is a civil engineering structure that is not computed as the other structures of the field, for all stakeholders in its design elements characterized by their multidisciplinary settings in their values and behavior. The roadway is a complex system in its structure composed of various heterogeneous materials, its unexpected behavior due to the nature of the soil, the influence of climate and different stresses it receives. Pavement design methods are based on two distinct approaches to the empirical approach and theoretical approach takes into account as much as possible all of these parameters. The modeling in this area is poor for the complex parameters involved. In this context this study was proposed to help us understand the behavior back their loads transmission pavement on the ground, creating distortions in the loading effect.
