Abstract

This paper aims to design an economic stand-alone Photo Voltaic system to meet the load demand of a particular location. The theme behind is the noble aim of saving the fast depleting conventional sources to whatever extent possible and to minimize the burden on the grid. The PV system is designed using MATLAB / Simulink. The result is verified using TRNSYS software and efficiency analysis is carried out for PV system. Finally, most economical set up of the complete PV system including battery backup and inverter were designed and implemented using HOMER software
