Abstract

This work presents a review of the different areas immersed in the impact of Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) at distributed generation (DG) and Smart grid. At the beginning of this paper a review of different PHEV configurations is presented. After that an introduction to DG, green energy, distributed generation, power management, and advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) is given. Additionally, several scenarios and summary of current challenges and open research opportunities of PHEV in the DG market will be presented. In the last section of this paper conclusions are given.
