Quality Assurance During Milling of Precision Elements of Machines Components with Ceramic Cutting Tools

Abstract


The article considers matters related to the problems that arise during machining of mating surfaces and bed shears by fine milling with tools equipped with ceramic cutting bits on the basis of the analysis of the surface layer quality requirements and current quality assurance technologies. Research results have shown that one of the quality improvement methods during fine milling of machine component mating surfaces and bed shears is the determination of operability of tools equipped with replaceable ceramic cutting bits.
