Multiparameter Magnetic Method for Mechanical Properties Determination of Products Made of 13CrV Steel

Abstract


In this article, the influence of mechanical properties on the value of magnetic characteristics is investigated. The use of magnetic characteristics to determine the tensile strength, yield strength, and relative elongation of products made of 13CrV steel is substantiated. Correlation dependences between mechanical and magnetic properties of steel samples are determined, as well as a statistical analysis of the input factors significance and the mathematical models adequacy. The error of the obtained values of mechanical properties obtained by means of the coercive force, residual magnetic induction, maximum magnetic permeability and in the complex is calculated. When comparing the results of the experiment on the empirical determination of mechanical properties, the advantage of a comprehensive account of the influence of magnetic parameters has been revealed. It shows the smallest error in mechanical performance in comparison with the properties obtained by tensile testing.
