Seeding Section Design Development and Determination of the Forces and Driving Resistance to the Penetration of its Disc Coulters into the Soil

Abstract


The article presents a new approach to determining the influence of the working depth of disc coulters on their traction resistance. The study is based on the theory of improving the mechanization means of sowing grain with the simultaneous application of fertilizers. The research theory is based on the proven dependencies of soil mechanics, the process of furrow formation, as well as dependencies that make it possible to determine the conditions for the stability of the sowing section in the horizontal and vertical planes, which complements the theory of sowing units. The design scheme of a new disk sowing section of a grain-fertilizer seeder is presented, which ensures the performance of several technological operations in one pass of the sowing complex: loosening the soil in the sowing zone, sowing seeds above the fertilizer application level, applying the main fertilizer below the seed placement level, compacting the soil under and above the sown seeds. The results obtained are confirmed experimentally and, in certain cases, compared with the information presented in independent scientific sources.
