Abstract

The aim of this work is to thermally characterize bagasse waste derived from sugar cane in order to highlight their energy potential. The thermal behavior of bagasse powder has been examined by: Thermogravimetric, Differential Thermal Analysis and Differential Scanning Calorimetry, under inert atmosphere and with the heating rate of 10°C/min. The dimensional variations of sugar cane in pieces at 300 °C have also been followed and the physico-chemical analyzes of raw and heat-treated samples have been performed.
