Abstract

The stress-strain state of a transmitting belt as an elastic rod with the transversal shear is considered. Using the variational method we derive equations of a new one-dimensional linear theory. The solution with the effect of elastic microslip is obtained. The transition boundaries to the partial slip and to the gross slip are determined.
