Abstract

The earthquakes are natural disasters caused by sudden release of energy in the earth crust that creates seismic waves. One of the best places for occurrence of potential earthquake is in active fault zones. In other word, active faults are known as a main cause for most earthquakes. As an engineering solution, to eliminate the main cause of the earthquake, the active fault is repaired using a soil patch that is made on the earth crust in place.
