A New Method for Load Flow Solution of Electric Power Distribution System
This paper presents a new approach for solving load flow problem of an electric power distribution system. In the approach, a constrained optimization technique is used to find a solution to the load flow problem. The method improves the computation algorithm when starting far from the solution and can handle the case when the system Jacobian is singular. These advantages are particularly important for distribution system applications. Results obtained on three representative electric power distribution systems demonstrate the validity of the proposed method.
