Abstract

This paper presents a control system for reducing electromagnetic torque amplitude and pulsation during start-up of a three-phase induction motor. The control system is based on a new method of non-simultaneous connection of voltage phases. The effectiveness of the proposed system is shown through a simulation and an experimental verification of start-up of an squirrelcage induction motor.
