Abstract

In this paper, a novel method for speed sensor less speed control of induction motor is proposed. The conventional methods are adopted in the speed control of induction motor is based on rotor speed or position feedback information. The proposed Sensorless speed control scheme does not require the flux and speed estimations, and directly uses the stator currents, in which the controlled stator voltage is applied to the induction motor to regulate the speed. The difference between the stator currents of the motor reference model and motor speed can be forced to reduce to zero. The control action can be effectively achieved by using DSP controller. The performance of the sensorless speed control of induction motor is verified through simulation using MATLAB/SIMULINK software and laboratory experimental setup
