PV Pumping System Characterization Using Virtual Monitoring Environment

In this paper, a real time virtual monitoring system for photovoltaic water pumping plant is developed. The aim of the proposed system is to investigate the characteristic and evaluate the performance of this kind of renewable energy based application. Hence a generic remote monitoring system - that is suitable and easily implemented for such application - is presented. For reliable and straight forward data monitoring and analysis, a LabVIEW based virtual measurement system is further designed. The proposed system has the ability to monitor, expect, diagnose and prevent unusual operating conditions. Using the designed monitoring environment the health of the system operation is assured
