Abstract

Social media networks play an important role in today’s world to share the views among people. Views could be shared both for products as well as for environmental factors. Such posts and reviews need to be analyzed to derive an opinion from that. Public can come to a decision about the factors through these opinions and reviews. In such cases, if spam reviews are present, it will affect the entire opinion mining process. Spam reviews would be posted with the intention of falsely promoting a product. Therefore, it is necessary to identify those spam tweets in order to make the opinion mining process complete. As motivated by this issue, this paper concentrates on the ways in which the spam messages are generated and suggest some solutions to eliminate it before summarizing the opinions.
