In wireless sensor networks (WSN), most of the existing works on fault tolerant aggregation, does not take all the possible types of faults such as Network level, node level and data level into account. Also in the selection of aggregators and its routing path, many existing works does not consider coverage related problems and link quality. Hence in this approach we propose to design a fault tolerance data aggregation system in WSN. In this technique, the nodes with maximum link quality, residual energy and coverage is chosen as aggregator node. When the aggregator has to transmit the data towards the sink, it constructs the routing tree with good quality links. In order to prevent the data level faults, a cross validation of the data recorded in the nodes is performed. By simulation results, we show that the proposed approach greatly minimizes the network level, node level and data level faults.
