Abstract

Real-time multimedia communication is more tolerant to changes in bandwidth and delay. To overcome quality of service (QoS) constraint in the network, in this paper, we propose to develop a bandwidth and delay aware routing protocol for real time traffic in MANET. This technique involves construction of bandwidth and delay aware paths between a source-destination pair. Initially the bandwidth availability and expected total delay are estimated for each path and the source selects the optimal path with maximum bandwidth and minimal delay. By simulation results, we show that the technique is more efficient to overcome QoS constraint.
