Abstract

This paper presents a hardware-in-the-loop emulator of wind turbine generator. In order to test the developed control of energy conversion system, emulators are widely used to prototype wind turbine. Indeed, the proposed HIL emulator is based on DC motor controlled by DC-DC converter and taking into account the aerodynamics of wind turbine in different operation modes. Experimental and simulation results show the performance of the proposed hardware-in-the-loop emulator which provide an effective platform to prove the wind turbine control.
