Study to Use of Thermoelectric Materials for Energy Harvesting

Thermoelectric materials have a physical behavior that enables the generation of energy. Therefore this research aims at the formation and consolidation of knowledge about thermoelectric materials and their use to energy harvesting for cogeneration. In order to demonstrate the potential of this source of energy cogeneration, there were two laboratory experiments. First simulating the application of thermoelectric module in high temperature gradients and second experiment applying the thermoelectric module in a processor in its operation. The application processor provides unsatisfactory results due to the low temperature gradient. While the laboratory simulation, that due to the high temperature gradient, provides satisfactory results for use in energy harvesting of the industrial processes
