Abstract
In this study, we will study theoretically the effect of optical bistability in a laser saturable with homogeneous broadening for a Fabry-Perot resonator. The approach considered here takes in a phenomenological way into account the essential physical processes which makes it possible to determine the principal parameters in a LSA and their influences on the optical bistability. On the basis of the system of Rate Equation Approach (REA), we analytically and numerically solved this type of equation for stationary case. We established a program to determine the interval of the effect of the optical, to plot the curves representing the density of the photons in the pumping function of the active medium and finally to analyze the linear stability of the obtained solutions.
