Abstract


This work presents a numerical simulation of neutral dynamics (N2) by negative corona discharge DC. The boundary element and FCT (Flux Corrected Transport) methods have been used to calculate temperature, pressure and speed. The simulation has been performed for anaxisymmetrical point-plane geometry with a hyperboloidal needle perpendicular to infinitely large conducting plate. The space and time distributions of the fundamental hydrodynamic quantities have been analysed.
