Abstract

Four Different Methods have been studied to verify the validities of applying them in Omani Oil by computing the densities of 14 different Fields. This study includes four density correlations: API, Peneloux, Katz-standing and Alani- Kennedy. Alani-Kennedy Equation of State method gave the best estimation of density with average absolute deviation of 3.1% while Standing-Katz gave the highest average absolute deviation of 19%. Commercial Simulator was used to validate these calculated densities. All four different methods give a reliable estimation within 5% deviation of density for 45% of the total number of computed densities
