Abstract

In order to enhance the reliability of respiratory protection in the process of operations with dry building binding mixes when the air of the working zone contains both solid particles and gaseous substances, it is necessary to improve respirators’ design as well as to use new materials acting as filtering elements. The authors designed a new material with high protective characteristics against solid particles and acid gases, and good hygienic properties, which facilitates tighter fit with regard to the physiological specifics of facial structure and reduces the possibility of intake along the obturation line or occurrence of pressure sores in skin. The properties of the material were studied.
