Abstract

An exact solution to the boundary value problem of multiple scattering by M parallel two-layer elliptic cylinders, based on the separation of variable technique and the addition theorem for Mathieu function is presented. It is expressed in terms of a system of simultaneous linear equations of infinite order. Numerical results for the special case of two parallel two-layer cylinders are presented and discussed for several geometrical cases and material parameters
