In this paper, the outage probability performance of a dual-hop cognitive radio network with user random mobility is investigated. The system source consists of multiple antennas while the relay, primary user and mobile user are equipped with single antenna. The channel within the CRN is assumed to follow Rayleigh fading distribution and user mobility is modelled by using a random way point mobility model. Based on the distribution of each hop, the outage probability analytical closed-form expression is derived for the concerned system. Additionally, the asymptotic outage probability and the outage error floor are also derived to provide more insight about the performance of the system under study. The analytical results explicitly illustrate the effects of system and channel parameters on the system and the mobility of the user decrease the outage performance. Monte-Carlo simulations are adopted to provide substantial accuracy of the derived expressions.
