Abstract

Modern vehicles, machine tools, household appliances require the use of special electronics units in order to ensure their functioning. Electronics units are complex electrical devices that process input signals and convert them into control signals, collect information about system parameters and, based on it, control the system operation. Due to the wide range of functions performed, electronics units include many different components that should be a single design for application on different technical systems. The design of electronics units is a complex task that requires a well-coordinated team of specialist’s work. Today, the design of electronics units is rather poorly consecrated in the scientific and technical literature. From the existing works on the topic of designing electronics units, there is no complete idea of how to design an electronics unit, starting from the technical requirements data, after which it will be possible to introduce it into the manufacture. Because of this, in this paper, an FMEA-based approach to the design of aircraft electrical machines electronic units has been proposed. According to the aircraft electrical machines electronic units design approach proposed by the authors, it is possible to design electronic units, starting from technical requirements, which will provide the necessary output parameters and meet the requirements for it. The effectiveness of the formed approach is confirmed by the starter-generator electronic unit design described in this work. The value of the work is the formation of a set of rules that allows structuring the versatile electronic units design process, which includes diverse design and engineering tasks.
