System of Computer Vision for Cold-Rolled Metal Quality Control

Abstract


In this paper general methods, model and algorithms for designing measuring system of computer vision for cold-rolled metal quality control was proposed. Technique of recognition of surface defects containing three steps (defect detection, defect region extraction and defect class recognition) was proposed. Technique of defect detection based on wavelet transform were proposed. Technique of defect region extraction that allows to exclude textural component of image and to localize the spatial position of the defect was developed. Defect features were extracted. Technique and algorithms of defect recognition were developed. Designing measuring system of computer vision for cold-rolled metal quality control was developed.
