Fault-Tolerant Control of a PV System Integrated to an Electrical Network

Abstract


Solar is considered as an important source of renewable energy. The photovoltaic generator is a source characterised by a unique operating point where the generated power is maximum. The position of this point varies according to atmospheric conditions (temperature and light).The aim of this study is to investigate the control and the optimisation of the operation of a PV conversion system connected to an infinite bus network. Optimisation and tuning of this system are performed using two approaches (classic and fuzzy logic).Three simulation results are presented which demonstrate that fuzzy algorithms provide a better performance when compared to the conventional algorithm.
