Recognition of Surface Defects of Cold-Rolling Sheets Based on Method of Localities

In this paper general methods of object recognition were reviewed. Method of localities was justified for solution of recognition of surface defects of cold-rolling sheets task. Features of defects were subtracted. Peculiar properties of using method of localities were reviewed. Algorithms of learning and recognition, results of experimental research were represented. In conclusion were proposed directions for further research.
