Bioreactor processes based on substrate concentration have generally highly non-linear behavior, disturbances and parameter uncertainties which make them a subject area for advanced control. In this paper, we propose to stabilize a bioreactor around desired values using neural network and neural PI control strategies in presence of exogenous disturbances and uncertainties in the kinetics. Computer simulations are presented to show the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed methods.
