The work presented in this paper deals with of study the solutions of the equations governing heat transfer in tubular heat exchangers steady state, to determine a correlation between the input parameters of the process giving the same state stationary. The obtained results showed that, for a imposed set point on the output of the process, the flow rates of the two fluids hot and cold are related by a linear equation. An analysis of this relationship in transient regime allowed us to add elements related criterion to be minimized for implementation of optimal control.
