Abstract

This paper compares two observer structures suitable for high performance induction motor vector control. The first one is the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) and the second one is the Extended Luenberger Observer (ELO), the both are controlled by a Fuzzy-PI. The comparison between these two observers is made in order to compare their performance to tracking and accuracy the actual rotor speed; Simulation results show the effectiveness of these proposed observers to monitor the drive.
