Abstract

This paper presents the different characteristics of 4- and 5-element multi-band planar Log-Periodic Dipole Antennas (LPDAs) particularly suitable for medical telemetry applications using industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) frequency bands. The designed antennas are printed on FR4 substrates, the sizes of which are 200 ×132 × 1.6 mm and 191 × 171 × 1.6 mm, respectively for the four- and five-element antennas, and are fed by a 50 Ω coplanar line. Measurement and simulation results are detailed and discussed for both antennas
