Abstract

This paper gives an overview on control and management strategies for energy systems in hybrid electric vehicles. This paper formulates energy management as an optimization problem, provides an overview on optimization techniques and stability analysis. Being first of its own kind in providing the basic mathematical formulations, this paper will be beneficial for the young researchers in this area.
