Influence of Heat Treatment on the Machinability of α+β- and Near β-Titanium Alloys

Abstract


Literary data and the results of researches on the influence of various modes of heat treatment on the structure, phase composition, mechanical properties and machinability of α+β- and near  β-titanium alloys are summarized.  It is shown that heat treatment is an effective means of providing different levels of mechanical properties of alloys and defining their variable machinability.
