Abstract


While the disks having the same angular velocity are initially rotating about a common axis, the unsteady flow produced by their oscillations in their own planes and in the opposite directions is investigated. It is shown that the solutions for all times are obtained by means of the analytical solutions corresponding to small and large times. The dependence of the velocity field on the time, the kinematic viscosity of the fluid, the angular velocity and gap of the disk, the frequency and velocity amplitude of the oscillation is examined in terms of the appropriate dimensionless parameters. It is observed how the periodic motion of the fluid takes place when the time is large enough.
