Abstract

This work investigated the effect of combining a granulated slag of El- hadjar (Algeria) and silica fume on the characteristics of the elaborated high performance concretes up to twelve months. We formulated a high performance concrete (HPC) with cementitious addition and one as a control mixture. The curing mode of conservation is the gypsum water as an aggressive environment for the concrete specimens. The results showed that the concrete containing a dosage of 5% silica fume and 10 % granulated slag; gave a higher physico - mechanical properties than the concrete without blending addition. Also, the XRD results revealed that the peak of Ca (OH)2 showed a high intensity in the concrete of reference and completely disappearing in the sample with silica fume and slag content. In addition, the intensity peaks of C4AH13 sharply increased with silica fume and granulated slag.
