Analysis of Surface Acoustic Wave Propagation Under Uniform Stress

Abstract


Propagation of small amplitude surface acoustic wave, under uniform stress was analyzed. Wave equation is obtained by incorporating the applied uniform stress in the equation of motion and taking account of the set of linear and nonlinear material constants; a semi numerical method was used to solve the wave equation. In this work we simulate the propagation of surface acoustic waves under uniform stress on Langasite (LGS, La3Ga5SiO14) substrate. Numerical results are presented and discussed.
