Abstract

A novel approach for joint blind channel estimation and data recovery in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems is presented. Using a Kalman Filter (KF) initialized by a proposed new space time block as a virtual training sequence in order to refine and track a channel variation. By cooperation between KF and Maximum Likelihood Detector (MLD), data symbols are recuperated. The performance of the proposed approach is assessed by means of Monte Carlo simulations and compared to that of other approaches.
