Abstract

This paper deals with the advantages of the frequency based MIMO radars for target parameter estimation. When a moving target exists, the received signal includes Doppler frequency shift in which the target position, velocity and direction information exist. Hence, especially when the envelope of the received signal is destroyed densely, these unknown target parameters can be estimated efficiently by estimating the Doppler frequency of the returned signal. In this paper, the advantages of the frequency based MIMO radar are analyzed especially at low SNR values and when the target fluctuations exist.
